Guess what!

I cook sometimes. It works out, mostly. But last night it surely did. I made fried eggplant. Did my own breadcrumbs from scratch!!! Used some herbs from the garden out back. Killer! I also did up this veggie concoction. Sauteed some sweet pots, red cabbage and then threw in some spinach and baby bellas. Yum! Today open faced eggplant sandies with some superb Trader Joe's tomato bisque. So, I'm gonna train now and I'm already excited about eating the leftover veggies as well as.....lentils? couscous? rice? We shall see. Maybe a SECOND smoothie too? The one earlier didn't have any PRO. It did include blackberries, strawberries, banana and aloe vera juice. AWESOME!!!

Today's training agenda: rolling, get-ups, pistols!, swings. Sound good? Yeah. I think so too.
I'll be throwing some planks and yoga stylees in there as well. Word.

Catchyaontheflip. BTW in case you didn't know, Phish is touring again. Go see them. They will give you an experience of a lifetime. I'm not joking!

Peace and bacon grease.

The sun in shining

I'm doing some bells out on the deck. First did a few ipsilateral rolls on both sides. Next, ROP pressing with a 16kg. Couple 1 leg DLs. Grabbed the bell by the horn and did some goblets. Let's see, what else? I'm not sure that was the actual order of everything, I just want to get it down. You down? Good. So yeah, there were a couple sets of some single TGUs in there too.

REMINDER: It is extremely important that you choose your venue wisely when rockin' it with bells. If you forgot, well that sucks. But I just reminded you! Ok. Some things like turkish get-ups require even more wisdom. I just reminded myself of that one! I did take the sun into account-not shining in my eyes and whatnot, but really. What's #1? SAFETY. If you have a choice of utmost safety minus the glorious sun shining on you, or lapping in the luxury of getting tan while training in exchange for sub-par performance you best go with the former! My nickname out here is SECURITY, sometimes Securitas;). Interesting.

K. Protein smoothie coming soon. You should look into getting one yourself. It's like a pint of heaven with some superhero ingredients. I recommend chocolate peanut butter banana

Today

I may make an attempt at blogging again (consistently). Well, I am making an attempt. Right at this moment! Not too many details for ya. Here's what I conjured up for this marvelous day on the North Coast:
  • clean house
  • new sheets
  • strawberry banana smoothie made by moi
  • edamame humus (Oh Trader Joe, how I wish you were closer)
  • peas from the garden
  • bike ride at sunset
  • bells in the living room
  • Veggie galore in yellow curry
Tomorrow I see a hike, some yoga, more bells, more eating. AWESOMENESS. Perhaps a little farmers' market? Indeed.

At some point tomorrow stop, breath and make your spine as tall as possible. Let me know what happens.

Rock on wit cho bad selves now ya hear?

WHOA!!!

What the? Yeah, I was lost for a while there. Well, lost as in off the path of training. I was not lost spatially, even when I didn't always know where I was:) After the San Jose RKC I drove up the coast, the famous Rt. 1 indeed. Along the way I stopped off to enjoy my spiraled cast iron with some beautiful back drops. I'm too lazy to figure out how to make the pictures go where I want, so too bad. Sorry. I'll be back. Soon hopefully.

I may be a slacker, but I can still rock an RKC

I just passed my third RKC level I. I kind of did it as a test for myself. I've been, as I've said, a slacker when it comes to my training. I used the cert as a kick in the ass, as well as extending my certification for another 2 years. Once again the RKC is an awesome experience. Even though I've been there twice before, I learned a zillion things again. It's always getting better. It's really amazing. I met some awesome people, as always. I am excited to keep going down the KB road. I was off of it for a stint. Word.

BTW, I think I may move to California (or Oregon) after all!!! Shhhhhh.....

What can I say? Sometimes I am a slacker.

Here I sit at 2:30am. Awaiting my departure for the airport. "Where are you going this time?" you ask. Well, as a matter of fact I am going to show my face in the DD community once again. I'm going to recertify in San Jose. I must admit, I'm a little ashamed. I have not lived up to my standards or DD's standards as an RKC. I've been off gallivanting all over this green earth. I'm not keeping up with my KB duties. Some may disagree, but I know. Oh, I know.

I have not been training consistently for one. I'm softer than I would like to be. Blah blah blah blah blah. This weekend will inevitably be awesome, no doubt. Everything kettlebell is always epic. It's just that looking back, I have not lived up to my potential. I still love kettlebells. I always will. They changed my life. I just wish that they were in my life more often! And that is totally up to me. Hence, I'm flying to San Jose for another miraculous experience with kettlebells and the awesome people they attract.

I could blame my lifestyle. I've been traveling. Quite often I must say. That does not lend to gaining clients or building a website to promote myself. It doesn't even exist! Let's face it. I'm a slacker! If you know me, you may know that I have been a workaholic at times. Many times in fact. Though, this is not one of those times.

I'm actually nervous about this weekend. I'm nervous about getting through it. I feel lame at the moment. But, I know I'll pass. I'll make it out alive. My badassness is just not at the forefront at the moment. I sure hope she shows up by 9am Friday!

I may have been a little harsh by saying I haven't been living up to DD's standards, but maybe not. I have not done anything really wrong, all but not training consistently and striving to make myself better, as well as a better trainer. I'm struggling. That's all. I'm 29. Trying to figure out life and shit! Though, you would think such a straightforward thing like the way of the RKC would help me keep it together!

Hopefully this weekend will revive me. I need it. I don't want to take anymore steps back.

This is all temporary...

Where in the world is Jennifer Morey?

Sung to the tune of Carmen San Diego of course.

As per anonymous' request and the fact that I kind of forgot I had a blog, I'm blogging. While I have the chance that is. I'm about to camp for a stint. Detach from the grind a bit... Ah yes. I can see it now. No phones, no Internet, no showers. Ok that last part is not the best, but you get used to it when you "get back to nature".

I'm currently in California about to make my way into the forest. I drove basically from one coast the the next with my two pals Kari and Adam over the last 4 days. Along the way I whipped out my bells and rocked out some swings, presses, snatches and windmills in various states. I'll be on it out in the woods. Oh yes.

Thanks to Big W, my goals include ROP pressing ladders, snatching, pistols, get-ups and some rolling patterns in there. You can bet I'll be Brettzling indeed! I just did a few a couple minutes ago actually. Sitting in a car for 4 days will make you want to Brettzle, for sure.

Here is something really depressing I must share. There is a chance I may not be in attendance at the Philly RKC. I had this Cali trip planned before this cert was announced. Now I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it back for the epic weekend. It's basically a sin that I may not be representing with the 6 or 7 other Dragon Gym-ers who are going to this event. It is literally next door to the birthplace of my kettlebell life. I first touched a bell in Downingtown, PA. Just happens to be about 5 minutes from the site of the first ever East coast cert. They are close, check on a map if you are curious. Horrible if I miss. But you can't always get what you want. I don't always get my cake and eat it too. But I sure try. There is still a chance I can make it, but I won't know till last minute. Come on Universe! Hook me up! You can doooooooo it!

Regardless of whether I am physically present or not, I'll be there. Good luck everyone, especially Diana. You are going to ROCK it. No doubt.

So, I know I never posted about my time in the UK. (I don't think) Sorry. Prob not going to here either.

I will say that I love to travel and I'm going to keep doing it. Looks like Europe in the new year. What do you think? No husband, kids or house. Sounds like a good time to travel eh? Yes.

PS. I am giving my furry orange tabby cat Pickle up for adoption. I am neglecting her with all this travel and she deserves better. Please take My Little Pickle.
